Reading, PA (July 7, 2015) – Russell Standard, a leader in paving solutions, processes and machinery, today announced its commitment to the local community by continuing the operation of an asphalt emulsion plant facility in Reading, PA.
Russell Standard officially took over the plant on July 1, 2015. As the new proprietor, Russell Standard is focused on strengthening the community by maintaining the positions of all current Reading employees. The seamless transition also prevents a loss of business in the Reading area.
“Russell Standard is a Pennsylvania-based company and we strive to positively impact the regions in which we operate,” said Matt Johnson, president of Russell Standard. “We view the leasing of this site as an investment in the Reading community and look forward to our new partnership.”
Through its new investment, Russell Standard will expand its footprint across Pennsylvania by servicing the central/eastern part of the state. By undertaking a new facility, the company aims to make itself more available to existing and potential clients throughout the Commonwealth.
The Reading facility, located at 3847 Pottsville Pike, supplies a wide range of asphalt-emulsified products for pavement preservation and road repair and is the seventh asphalt emulsion plant for the company. Blueknight Energy Partners made the arrangement with Russell Standard and remains the facility owner.
